Josiane Turcotte
Josiane Turcotte has more than 20 years of experience in commercial law. She holds a B.C.L. degree from the Université de Sherbrooke, a Bachelor in Common Law from the University of Ottawa and a Master in International Trade Law from the London School of Economics.
Ms. Turcotte began her career at McCarthy Tétrault in the commercial law department (mergers/acquisitions and securities). She later worked at Alcan Inc. for five years, where she was involved in major national and international mergers, acquisitions and development projects. Ms. Turcotte was also Senior Legal Counsel of Canada at Andritz. She joined Novacap in 2013.
Ms. Turcotte was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship in 1998. She was the recipient of the 2007 Quebec General Counsel Award (Counsel of the Future Category) and the recipient of the 2018 Canadian General Counsel Award (Mid-market Excellence).
